Oh na na, what's my name

Denim moto jacket: Gap Outlet
Thin sweater that's all bunched weirdly: Express
Pants: Forever 21
Boots: Steve Madden
Scarf: Burberry

Oops. You can see the label on my scarf. I'm guessing that you're supposed to cut those off, since they're barely sewed on, but I've kind of been putting it off. Once I cut it off, it's just going to be a plain brown plaid scarf, not a Burberry one (oh you fancy huh, you fancy huh..). Do you guys cut the labels off your scarves? I never do.. I just turn them inwards so they don't show (which I obviously failed at today). Am I just a weirdo?

I've been wanting a leather moto jacket for awhile now, and when I came upon this denim version at the Gap Outlet on clearance AND on the 40% off Gap Give and Get weekend, I couldn't not buy it. But even with the smallest size they had in store (XS), it still feels a little too boxy and not as form fitting as I would like. I love when girls can wear their moto jackets open over flouncy dresses, but I tried that I just look like I'm wearing some kind of stiff cape. Hmmm.... oh well.

We went to Nordstrom Rack to use our Groupons today, and I bought myself a new Fossil boyfriend watch. It's grey instead of white like the one I had on my wishlist, and doesn't have the 3 mini-clocks inside (I never understand what those are for anyway) but I LOVE it. Especially when it was only $35 instead of the $95 like the one I originally wanted, plus I had the $50 for $25 Groupon. Isn't it pretty? I have to go get one of the links taken out, which bums me out, because I want to wear it, like, NOW.

You know what's stupid? I keep feeling guilty when I'm buying new clothes, because I sometimes forget that I'm not doing Kendi's 30x30 challenge. I'm subscribed to all the remixers' blogs, and obsessively check everyone's remixes everyday. I forget that I don't have to adhere to the same rules as you guys.. lol. Not that I want to rub it in your face... but I'm going to miss the challenge once it's over! :( I hope all you lovely remixers continue to post your outfit pics after the challenge is over, because I'm just loving all the inspiration I'm getting from you guys! <3

PS. Rihanna's new song is stuck in my head today and I CAN'T get it out. SO ANNOYING. So I guess I'll be sticking to this title-has-nothing-to-do-with-post thing I got going on.

PPS. Don't forget to enter my giveaway if you haven't already :)

  2. I always cut my scarf tags off, but almost all my scarfs are from forever 21 or old navy, so I have to attachment to the label! Haha - and I love that watch! I bought that groupon too but have yet to venture to the Rack - it just opened in St. Louis and it's SO crowded every single day I'm really going to have to muster up some energy to go there.

  3. I never cut labels off of my scarves either. At least, I never did when I lived up north and had a need for scarves. :)

    I love that watch. Fabulous!

  5. Ha. Your guilt transference made me laugh. That watch is really cute! Love how studly the design is, but how the tiny rhinestones keep it feminine. I think the dark color will go with more...Man, I keep meaning to get a good watch, but then I think about all the commitment involved...committing to wearing one large piece of jewelry every day, committing to being on time, committing to even knowing what time it is...and then I panic. So I admire your watch buying/wearing skills.

  6. Your "you fancy" just made me laugh out loud. Husband looked at me like I was crazy, but oh well. Sometimes that happens. :)

    You look really cute!

  7. I love that watch! I really want a boyfriend-y one like that but I feel like my wrists are too scrawny. You might just inspire me to get one though.

I love your outfit too, and I just have two more outfits left in the challenge, and just like Elle I don't think I'll know what to do with myself!

  8. I never cut the labels off of my scarves, either...it feels like defacing my clothing, for some reason, even though you're probably right, and they're probably meant to come off. One of my charming little quirks, I'd like to think.

Also? Confession time...I'm doing Kendi's challenge, and I totally cheated on the no shopping rule this weekend. I made it through 28 outfits, then ran into a really great Macy's friends and families sale, where jeans that I love that are never on sale were actually on sale. I limited myself to the jeans, though, so that has to count for something, right?

  9. I love your new watch! I'm a big fan of large watches (my current watch is actually a men's watch).

I am partaking in Kendi's 30for30 Challenge and I have cheated a bit too. I usually buy clothes as I see them/need them, not just whenever so I haven't totally stuck to that. But that's okay with me since I joined more for the remixing. Are you planning to participate in a 30for30 challenge?
