I finally got to wear my new jeans today! I had been on the hunt for a pair of black J Brand jeans for awhile, after seeing them on Elaine, who totally loves her J Brands, and they look SO AWESOME on her. I found the perfect pair at Nordstrom Rack, after already overspending for the month of January, so I made my husband buy them for me for my Valentine's Day present. Don't worry, I let him pick out a pair of boots (that he paid for himself since I forgot my wallet) so it's all good. I'm probably the best wife ever.
We were supposed to go to a semi-fancy restaurant tonight, but I totally forgot to make reservations (I'm a great wife, right?) and I tried calling 5 times today and the stupid restaurant didn't answer. I bet they were booked full anyway, because we were planning on using our Groupon, and I'm pretty sure 500 other people had the same idea as well. So, we ended up getting pho down the street from our house.. but we made it extra special by ordering spring rolls AND shared a bubble tea. We're fancy.
After P goes to bed, we're going to watch Legends of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole. I know, I have no idea what the heck it is either. Husband informed me the other day that the owl movie I added to our Netflix queue arrived in the mail, and I was quite puzzled. I'm pretty sure P added it when he was watching Thomas the Train on the iPad Netflix app. Those stubby little fingers know how to open the app and play his movies, so I'm not surprised he knows how to add DVDs to our queue as well. It better be good!

yay for J. Brand jeans!! I actually got my first pair off Gilt Groupe a few months ago and they're simply amazing. I love this outfit on you and it sounds like you had a great dinner date tonight! Hope you enjoy the movie. :)
ReplyDeletecute and little
I really love your J Brand jeans and Elaine's too! Did you really forget your wallet? ;)P is a funny guy! Hey! he might be the next kid who orders a car on eBay!
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day!
Just Better Together
This whole post made me giggle. Your Valentine's Day sounds awesome, pho and owl movie and everything.
ReplyDeletePlus you look so cute, as always. I need that cardi! Send it my way when you're finished, please. :)
Pho is my favorite. We made Indian food for V-day, but it didn't turn out that great... In any case, those jeans look great on you!

ReplyDeleteI love your jeans! I've been wanting to try jbrand but haven't gotten around to it yet! And what funny story about the movie!
ReplyDeleteI wish Gig Harbor had a pho joint. Or bubble tea even. Totally jealous.
ReplyDeleteI hope the movie was good? That sentence ended in a question mark because it. . . it just doesn't sound like it would be. But I hope it was. :)
Happy Valentine's Day!
Jenn
Cutest outfit ever. Seriously going in my inspiration folder, of my mind, since I don't have a good way of tracking photos, anyway...
ReplyDeleteI thrifted some j-brand jeans and they got huge tears everywhere! Maybe they were older than I thought and worn in or maybe 2 sizes too small but nevertheless i was a bit disappointed but yours look terrific!!
Happy Valentines Day!

Very cute outfit! I've been bugging my fiance to watch that movie solely because it was an owl movie, not because I was really interested in the story line. They're so cute.
ReplyDeleteComplex Cardigans
I love this cardigan, and it looks awesome with your skinny jbrands and white blouse! I just want to steal this outfit from you and have in my closet. I have been on a search for black jeans myself. I got some but they don't fit right, so the search continues.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I tagged you for the stylish blogger award, so fancy!
What an adorable outfit! I love the pop of yellow in the cardigan and that white blouse is so pretty.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it amazing what our kids learn so quickly? And so YOUNG?!

ReplyDeleteUHHH this outfit is so me!!! and so do-able! loooove the color pop!!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteSwooing over that cute mustard cardi. I have yet to try J brand jeans. U look adorable.
ReplyDeleteI love love love this outfit! I think the high collar of the shirt goes really well with the U-neck cardigan. You're really working that mustard cardigan!
ReplyDeleteAnd thumbs up for pho. Nothing spells romance and love like a bowl of beef noodle soup cooked hours and hours in the sweet and luscious bones from cows. Mmmhmmm.
You have an amazing ability to take simple basic pieces and turn them into mesmerizing and beautiful outfits. Love this look girl, and way to rock the pop of color to the max! xo
ReplyDeletekimmie, i love this outfit - it's so pretty on you...aaaanddd I might need to steal it later this week, mkay?
ReplyDeleteI love the background in this photo! You look awesome in these pants, I can't believe you hadn't done the skinnies + flats thing until recently, you're workin it like an old pro :)
ReplyDeleteI have never actually had pho... where is the best place to get it around here?
I might need those pants. And I DEFINITELY need that cardigan.
ReplyDeleteThis outfit makes me a bit bummed I didn't get the black skinny jeans I found on sale. I didn't know what to wear them with. Sad. But this outfit is adorable.
ReplyDeleteLove the yellow against the crisp black and white - and those are a great pair of jeans! Awesome
ReplyDeleteHaving your husband buy you a present that doesn't go on the budget? BRILLIANT. I'm going to have to use that one since I'm already 200.00 into my 500! Eek, I know. :/
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment on my bloggie blog!
Isn't skinny jeans with flats great?! Mostly I see girls wearing skinnies + heels, so I'm happy to see another flats lover :) Happy belated VDay, Kimmie!
ReplyDeleteThose jeans look great! Did they come at that length, or did you have to have them hemmed? I'm tired of too-long jeans...
ReplyDeleteHope the movie turned out to be fantastic :)
those jeans are pretty amazing. i love my black skinnies!! but mine are $8 old navy clearance. maybe i'll upgrade someday. :)
