Not a liar

Shirt: Loft
Cardigan: Old Navy
Jeans: AG
Flats: Target

Well, that didn't last long. It only took me a week to decide that I didn't really like bangs and now I'm over it. Good thing mine were cut longer, so I'm able to sweep them to the side, and that's where they're going to be from here on out. I'm just glad I got to try them out, even if it was only for a few days. Otherwise, I'd still be sitting here thinking about whether I should cut them or not.

I grabbed lunch today with Emily of Bright Tights and Cloudy City, for $1 sushi plates (cheap date!) which was lots of fun. I was prepared to take outfit pictures on my way back to the office, but I forgot my memory card, so I had to take these after I got home. I was tempted to change into a cuter outfit, or at least cute shoes just for pictures, but that would be undermining the whole point of having a blog to document my outfits... because isn't that the point- to show what us real people are wearing to do regular everyday stuff?

Plus, Emily would probably call me out on being a liar, and I wouldn't want that.

  1. I really like the yellow top. That is so true, why dress up for the camera? The point is to show what you actually wear.

  5. Somehow I can't picture you in flats. I think i've seen you once in flat boots (the Steve madden intyce?) and that was weird! Hehe :)

  6. I have some flats but mostly I wear them after yoga in the winter for the drive home after class. They still look like new, lol. :)

And yeah, even my Steve Madden Intyce have a tiny (1/2" maybe?) built in wedge heel. Way too low in my standards!

    Where is your $1 sushi?!
I'm glad you didn't switch since it would only be 5-10 minutes longer in your flats. We want the REAL you :)
I thought you look great with your bangs.

  12. Was it Genki? I go to the one on Capitol Hill way too much yet I always miss their $1 sushi days!

And I love this outfit! Something I would totally wear on a casual day. Keeping it real is what it's all about! (:

  13. Yes! I guess they had $1 sushi for the month of March, but I didn't know until yesterday, and there was only one day left for the month. We go to the Bellevue and Renton Genkis all the time! :)

  20. Awww but you look so cute in bangs! Did it get in the way too much? I remember when I had bangs as a child I'd hate how it sticks to my forehead after it gets greasy. Ewwww sorry, TMI. And I'd continually try to blow them away, but of course that didn't work.

  21. i like that you share your "everyday" outfits on your blog, because you look adorable and put-together all the time! and the yellow under the gray looks like a little bit of sunshine peeking out from behind clouds.

Gray and yellow will always be one of my favorite color combinations! Sushi dates are always the best, I always need a sushi fix!

  23. Sushi dates sound incredibly fun! And now you know that you don't like your bangs so you won't have to wonder about it anymore. They look cute as sideswept bangs too!

  24. I'm with you 100%. I like seeing real clothes on real people, not some fancy schmancy outfit put together with no sense of reality behind it. I think you look great, with or without the bangs!
