Bridge over untroubled water

I think I may have eaten my mouth raw from too much half-off Easter candy. I'm half way through a bag of Whopper Mini Robin Eggs (my fave!) and Sour Patch Bunnies. When I was at the grocery store, I had to limit myself to only two bags of candy, and it was a tough decision. I swear I must have spent 15 minutes standing in the Easter section debating which two to get. My life is so hard sometimes.

I straightened my hair last night before bed because I had to be at work early (well, not early in most people's standards, just early for me) for a meeting, and thought that I should just have a fuss-free hair morning. Turns out I was wrong. Straightening hair seems to take just as long as curling it, and there's less room for error or messiness. I really admire you ladies that are able to straighten your hair every morning. TAKES SO MUCH TIME.

Only an hour until the Royal Wedding. It seems so much easier to stay up late than to wake up early (3am?!!! No thanks), but I'm not crazy, so I'm going to bed. Can't wait to see all the pictures in the morning :)

  1. I take ages to straighten my hair! Haha :) Love the colour of the top, and the backdrop looks AMAZING! xo

  2. Is that I-90? I should know my floating bridges. You wear shorts and tights so well! Your hair always looks gorgeous!

I feel the same way about when I have to get up early. I need to get a new flatiron so I can take showers at night and straighten my hair. Otherwise, I'll have an afro in the morning, and not the cool kind.

  3. My hair straightens pretty easy for about 10 minutes and then the humidity attacks it. :) Luckily in my blog pics it just looks full but in person it's a puffy mess.

  4. Yes! It's I-90 from the Mercer Island side. :)

My sister lent me her fancy flatiron so I've been playing with it some, but it's such a pain in the butt to straighten hair!

  5. I went to the store with a co-worker the other day and we bought a combined 8 bags of 1/2 Easter candy. It wasn't my best decision.

  6. I like the way you styled this. I have a blousy pink top, and I didn't think to pair it with my khakis. I feel like I just need to step away from the Easter candy. I'm keeping it in the fridge so I don't eat it, and giving it away to anyone who will take it!

  7. Oh Kimmie! I love your hair straightened like this! And pink, khaki, and black loook so good together! It's a combo I've never tried before!

  8. I was trying to figure out what looked different about your hair! I thought you had gotten your bang trimmed. It looks great straight!

  9. I sometimes feel like when I mix black with a bright color it looks really 80s, but with the khaki it looks fresh – will have to try this! Your hair looks great wavy or straight. I have been considering a digital perm for years, but haven't taken the plunge as I am afraid something might go wrong and I'll end up looking like I did when I got bad home perms in the late 80s/early 90s (ack, curly bangs!)... I am really low-maintenance with my hair and am not coordinated enough to anything beyond sticking it in a ponytail or messy bun, so I am always impressed when ladies know how to style!

  10. Oh, my, those little Whopper eggs. Nom x 10. Next year I want to make little white chocolate and toasted coconut nests and fill them with those...I meant to do it this year, but instead I ate them all. :/

  11. Your hair does look amazing! and as a daily-straightner I am equally as baffled by the whole process of curling.

Also, I had finally kicked the easter candy and then I went into Bullk Barn yesterday and they had bags of marshmellos chocolate bunnies and gummy bunnies for 77cents each. Needless to say my dentist is going to hate me.

  12. Ha! I watched the whole royal wedding on DVR the next day...there are not many things that I will get up at 4:00am to watch, and this absolutely did not make the cut :)

And those darn Whopper robin eggs get me every year!
