It's a love story, baby just say yes

Chambray shirt: Target
Jeans: J Brand Love Story in Jett
Clogs: Sam Edelman Faye
Belt: J.Crew
Vintage ivory necklace: Mom's

I tried on a pair of J Brand Love Story jeans a few weeks ago and just FELL IN LOVE with the fit and the awesome super-flared legs. Since I'm not a big fan of spending $180 on a pair of jeans (that's like my clothing budget for 3 and a half months right there!), I've been stopping by Nordstrom Rack every once in awhile to see if I can find a pair for a little cheaper. I must have been super lucky or something, because last week I found the only pair in the entire store, and it was in the clearance racks, IN MY SIZE, for only $50! If that's not a sign to buy something, then I don't know what is.

AND THEN, to add to my luck, the lovely Rose put up a blog sale last week and was selling these Sam Edelman clogs that were too big on her (but perfect for me!), so I was able to snag them for dirt cheap. They're the tallest shoes I've ever owned, and I almost rolled my ankle three times today because they're so narrow on the bottom, but I really really like them. Too bad these are the only pants long enough to wear with them (and I wouldn't mind an extra inch so they'd graze the ground), so I'm probably not going to be doing too much mixing around when it comes to these pants and shoes.

Do you like my necklace? I do. I stole it from my mom's jewelery stash a few years ago. I asked her if she wanted it back, but she said that I could just have it, so I guess it's mine now. Yep, I'm pretty lucky.

One last thing, I copied Andrea's photo location. It was kind of nice just stepping out of my car and snapping photos without having to walk a lot... which is a pretty crucial deciding factor at the end of the day when your feet are mad at you.

PS. Did you know that J.Crew does not have a space in between the J. and the Crew? I learn something new everyday.

  12. I love the pants and shoes. Those jeans make your legs go on forever! I found my beloved Citizens of Humanity jeans at the Nordstrom Rack for $50 because someone had them altered and then returned them. Lucky for me they fit like they were made for me.

  24. So, yesterday we had a Lord of the Rings reference, and today it's Taylor Swift?

This is why you're one of my favorite bloggers, Kimmie...it's all about the versatility :)

It also helps that you post such amazing outfits all of the time. I love how classy this looks with the crazy heels and pearls.

PS: I will be singing that song for the rest of the evening, so thank you for that :)

  28. You pull off flared jeans like a tall girl. Thank you for showing me how to wear my chambray shirt - with pearls, duh! It looks so gorgeous and turns a country shirt into a city shirt.

Hope your week is as sexy as those jeans. Purrr.

  31. Don't be mad but I'm super jealous of you. Like, green in the face with envy. I might have to enlist my husband in some babysitting so I can go scour Nordstrom Rack for these jeans because I've been wanting them for some time and you are ROCKING them. That's it, I'm not speaking to you for the next two seconds...until I go back to catching up on your blog.

  32. Haha, I'll keep my eyes open for you! I'm ALWAYS going to Nordstrom Rack (there are three that I frequent. I'm kind of obsessed) I'm still on the hunt for a dark wash pair. I love them so much! I hope flares stay in style forever and ever. :)
