Not Today

Shirt: Forever 21
Jeans: J Brand
Belt: J.Crew
Flats: Target
Necklace: Anirtak

This outfit was actually from a week or two ago, when it wasn't all cold and rainy like it was today. It was like 42 degrees when we were out earlier, and some of the higher elevation areas are getting a bit of snow. I'm almost contemplating busting out my winter jackets again. IN LATE APRIL. Not happy about that.

I was hesitant to post these pictures because I didn't like my hair that day. My bangs were overgrown and I was too lazy to curl my hair that morning. The little bit of texture I have is leftover from a digital perm I got over a year and a half ago. It's annoying because my hair isn't really wavy, and it's not really straight either. Hopefully that will be fixed this weekend when I finally have some time (and a Groupon) to get a new perm. Crossing my fingers I'll have wavy beachy hair next week instead of this half-straight-half-barely-wavy mess.

... wavy beachy hair that I'll be hiding under my giant down parka. Ugh. SPRING, Y U NO HERE YET?!

  1. Oh Kimmie, you always look wonderful!

Vancouver weather has been the poops. It actually hailed yesterday, followed by double rainbow..

P.S. I haven't forgotten about taking photos, just waiting for better weather haha! =)

  2. I love your key necklace. And wow, I can't believe you're getting such freezing weather in April!

  3. I KNOW, MAGGIE!!! I'm still waiting! :)

Why is the weather so stupid? At least we aren't having massive storms and tornadoes. Sometimes it's good to be living up in the PNW.

  4. Sorry to hear about your cold weather. We need to split the difference between Seattle and Houston and then it would be perfect!

I think you look darling - love the key necklace accent :)

  5. I love that we were both so disappointed in the weather today that we went into our archives, seriously April - get a hint.

I must say I love this outfit. It's so effortless and laid back, and each piece works so well with the next. Perfect day-off outfit.

I'm going to be so jealous of your beach waves! I always want them but never know how to get them, and I certainly can't handle my curling/ flat iron well enough to make them.

  7. Sometimes my bangs have a mind of their own...but that's why its important to post!
So important to show that while we may always look great there may be something that doesn't or is unwilling to work...in any case you look great! and believe me i think your bangs look fine...not that i should be drawing attention to this but a while back I did a post and my hair looked less than stellar lol.

  8. Your natural hair looks like my natural hair, except mine is 100x frizzier. Aiya! I really should consider a digital perm. Can't wait to see how yours turn out!

  11. You always look great!!! The weather has been so rainy and depressing this past week. Last weekend was nice and this weekend is looking up so I'm glad we're almost there!

  13. I really love that necklace.

Regarding weather, upstate NY did this weird thing where we only had spring for a week. We went from frozen tundra to oppressive humidity far too quickly. Although, I do love falling asleep to a thunderstorm every night!

  14. Haha, I'm always jealous of the TX weather in the fall, winter and spring, but once it gets to summer, I'm glad I'm up here in Seattle! :)

  15. Haha, I don't believe that your hair looked less than stellar. Funny how we all like to pick at our own flaws but other people don't even see them! :)

  16. Haha, that's not even my natural hair texture. Mine is like not straight and not wavy, it's just poofy with weird kinks. So not fun.

  21. haha, yup. my bangs grow out wayyy too fast (of course, i like them right
between my eyebrows and eyes) so i gotta do what i gotta do. i only trimmed
a tiny bit and i figured they'd grow out in 10 days anyways. :)

and ps) most of the times i m braiding my hair so when i set them loose, they will look wavy like yours!

  29. Yeah, "working it on the rock" is more like "trying really hard not to laugh because my pose probably looks really ridiculous on the rock"

    :)
