I didn't have to work today, so I took P to the Kelsey Creek Farm Park this morning, which I had never known had a farm until Andrea posted about it last week. The park is a million times better than the zoo because P was able to look at all the animals up close, it's only 15 minutes away from our house, AND it was free! It also helps that he knows the names to all the farm animals.
I felt kind of weird bringing a tripod to the the park, but P loves the self-timer so I decided to give it a try. His latest "thing" is pushing the camera shutter button then running to be in the frame. It's really cute! The picture-taking actually worked out a lot better than I had anticipated, so don't be surprised if P is in a lot more outfit pictures from now on.
In other news, I got my first Shellac gel manicure, and I think I'm hooked. I've never liked getting manicures or doing my nails that much because they chip less than two days later, and it's just not worth the time or money. I'm on day three of the Shellac now, and they still look perfect. I'll just have to see if they really do last the "three to four weeks" as advertised.
Bracelet: H&M, Ring: F21... and my belt looks super frayed. Time to look for a new one!

Can't believe you never knew about it! So fun, we love the playground because it is so safe for toddlers. Your pictures turned out adorable. Next time I am free on a wednesday we should go together!
ReplyDeleteAwww, that must've been adorable to see! :)
ReplyDeleteFun trip!! Your boy is darling! I love that he is so into pushing and posing!
ReplyDeleteShellac, huh? Sounds like something I would be interested in. Keep us posted on when you start to see the wear!
Awww P is such a cutie-pie! I think he takes after you in looks, but since I don't know what your husband look like, what do you think? Do strangers say he looks more like his mom or dad?
ReplyDeleteYour manicure is gorgeous! The perfect color to a neutral outfit :)
aawww....P is soo adorable!!! I'm glad you guys had fun at the farm!
ReplyDeleteYour son is so cute! I love that last photo. I'm going to look into those manicures - I've given up on manis because they get ruined so quick!
ReplyDeleteThis outfit it so cute! It's so simple and clean, and makes you look so adorable!
ReplyDeleteSounds like an awesome time, and he is so cute. Every time you put him on the blog I can't help but tell you how cute he is!
ReplyDeleteYour little guy is so darn cute! I just love that picture of him by the tractor. Adorable!! And I've got to say I really like everything about your outfit. My coworker gets the Shellac and raves about it all the time! I may try that since I'm usually pretty rough on my nails.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, P is awesome. The pose with his arms crossed? Perfect :)
ReplyDeleteSecond, I love the shellac manicure, too, but I think about two weeks is the limit, depending on how quickly your nails grow. I was still chip free, but the gap at the bottom of the nail bed was too big to ignore...
I know! I guess I just always thought it was just another park. It just sucks that there's not much parking.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes! let me know if you're ever free on a Wednesday! :)
Haha, people say he's a mix. I can't really tell who he looks like more, just a little of both of us!
ReplyDeleteAw, Kelsey Creek is like, where I spent so much of my childhood! Haha! Love the nails too :)
ReplyDeleteYeah! I always thought they were super expensive so I never really looked into it, but I guess now they're available at more salons and cheaper. I went to one of those cheap salons with $10 manicures, and the gel manicures were $20, and Shellac (because it's name brand or whatever) was $25, so not bad at all!
ReplyDeleteAw, thanks Vanessa!! :)
ReplyDeleteYeah! I'm really rough on my nails too! The shellac is holding up well though! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, yeah, that's what I heard :( But two weeks chip-free is already good enough for me! :)
ReplyDeleteI was doing the hands-on-hip pose and he was trying to copy me, it was so funny. Too bad I didn't get a good photo of that!
Really?!! We are so close! I was more of a Robinswood girl :)
ReplyDeleteHe's so freaking cute! I especially like the last picture he's in. I'm pretty intrigued by the shellac nails. I don't have a lot of patience for nail polish either so I'm looking forward to hearing if it really lasts that long!
ReplyDeleteLove the belt! And that ring is super fun and pretty.
ReplyDeleteLittle man is adorable!!
Your nails look great. Keep us updated.
These are so cute! I love P's expression on the pig-bench, he looks so excited to be there :)
ReplyDeleteAwww, P is so cute. Especially love the one where he's sitting on the pig bench and posing in front of the tractor! And I also adore the color you chose for your nails. So on trend!
ReplyDeleteLove the coral nails against the turquoise ring. So pretty!
ReplyDeleteaww, baby p! your nails look awesome - I've wanted to try shellac but i just...haven't. no excuse, i just haven't done it yet. you'll have to let us know how it holds up!
ReplyDeleteAwww, P is so cute! You guys make for an adorable couple in outfit shots. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd the gel manicure will totally last FOREVER. I got one and it lasted so long I got sick of the color before it even started chipping. It was murder to get that stuff off, though. But I'd do it again in a heartbeat!
oooh let me know how long the manicure lasts! I somehow don't believe the 3 - 4 weeks thing, but keep me posted!
ReplyDeleteYour little boy is A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Eeks, I want to squeeze him LOL!
Haha, oh man, I had a horrible experience trying to remove those stick-on fake nails, I soaked them for an hour and they were still so difficult to get off. I learned my lesson and I'm going back to the salon to get the shellac removed. She said it's free!
ReplyDeleteYou do beauty reviews and you haven't tried it yet?!! ;) hehe. From the comments I got, it seems like it DOES last that long, but then you get the ugly gap between the polish and your nails when it starts to grow out.
ReplyDeleteHow cute! And your nails look amazing! I was actually just thinking about how I hate paying to get a manicure when my nails chip super quickly! I'll have to get my hands (or nails) on some of that shellac! ps. I love that ring!
ReplyDeleteHi Kimmie! I can't email you on Outlook so I'm leaving you a comment. You're the winner of my necklace giveaway! Email me through my profile page when you can with your contact info so I can pass it on. Thanks and congrats!!
ReplyDeleteSO cute! What a darling little boy you have!
ReplyDeleteaww, little P is so photogenic! i love these pictures and it looks like you two had so much fun! and i love the color of your nail polish! i got shellac nails too but unfortunately they chipped after a week and then were really hard to take off. hopefully yours works out better!
ReplyDeletecute & little
