Hi, it’s Mr. Kimmie filling in for the day. This is my second appearance on Blue Paper Lanterns. You might remember my first appearance here.
When I’m not busy searching the galaxy for Han Solo or collecting bounties, I enjoy looking sharp while doing it on a budget (just like my wife!). So what do I know about fashion you might be asking yourself? Nothing, really. But how many husbands have done guest posts on their wives blogs? Really, it’s never been done! Adventurous. Reckless. Freak-of-nature. That’s me!
Having a style blogger wife has pushed me to pay closer attention to what I wear and how I look. Besides, no guy wants to hear people ask, “Uh…why is HE with her?!”
Being in my early 30’s, I have to say it’s been a little difficult transitioning my style from my 20’s. There has been a time or two (or five) that Kimmie has told me, “Yeah, you’re too old for that” or “You’re wearing THAT? With THAT? Ohhhhkaaay.” So my goal is to aim somewhere between the guys on the Jersey Shore and my dad (who buys his clothes at Costco).
Dang, posing is hard! How do you do it without looking like Derek Zoolander?
Here goes nothing…
Shirt: Target
Shorts: Quicksilver
Shoes: Sanuk
Watch: G-Shock

HYSTERICAL with the Boba Fett head. I love it!
ReplyDeleteCome take a look inside A Working Mom's Closet
I think Mr. Kimmie did a wonderful job. Nate and I already talked about him doing at least one guest post when I take a "maternity/nothing currently fits leave" after the baby. Maybe I could have a style blogger husbands week. Think Mr. Kimmie would be up to another run?!?
ReplyDeleteHahaha! That's cute. =)
ReplyDeleteGreat job Mr. Kimmie! The Zoolander photos are hilarious as well as the Star Wars head!

This is adorable. Way to go Mr. Kimmie!
ReplyDeleteLol! Great job with the posing, Mr. K! I'm glad to see Kimmie taking her turn at imparting some one-liners. You can't always have all the fun, haha
ReplyDeleteKimmie (and Mr. Kimmie!), I LOVED today's post! You have an awesome hubby. His writing style is too funny, and his dressing style is ADORABLE (in a very manly way). I would say I'm jealous, but I have a pretty good hunk of man meat, myself. But I'm so happy to see that you married well, Kimmie! (also loving the Boba Fet overlay...very clever).
ReplyDeleteMy husband fully approves of the use of the Boba Fett head :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome job love the outfit Mr.Kimmie
ReplyDeleteHilarious. Thanks for the laugh!
ReplyDeleteGreat guest post! I think Mr. Kimmie is a natural at posing but I especially like the illustrative pictures.
ReplyDeleteOkay, this was adorable!!!
ReplyDelete^_* you're such a sport and a supportive hub to Kimmie! We all need your kind! I hope to see the rest of my fave (married) blogger to follow suit! Way to go! What a great view too!
ReplyDeleteLove this post! I went to a rooftop BBQ birthday party recently and there was a couple in attendance who were a complete mismatch: he was wearing an oversized Tshirt with a cartoon character on it, baggy khaki cargo shorts, white socks, and white sneakers, and she was in a little black dress, stilettos, and a Chanel bag. It took me the entire BBQ to realize they were married!
ReplyDeleteNice outfit, by the way! Well done, Mr. Kimmie!
hahah love this! I wish my hubby would do a guest post for me! kudos to mr. kimmie!! he should do more!!!!
ReplyDeleteAaaaaahh I am FREAKING OUT over here I love this post so much!! Seriously, your man guest posting for you like this is evidence of the love story I can only dream of. Plus I love his shirt and can totally relate to the growing up in your 30s style-changing thing. HAHAHAHA oh man, the Zoolander photos are too much.
ReplyDeleteKIMMIE, YOUR HUSBAND IS BOBA FETT!? am I jealous or what? haha this post is amazing.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mr.Kimmie for this sweet summer outfit. I hope your posts become a little more regular on the blog. Love 'em!
Mr. Kimmie should have his own fashion blog!! Muahahaha. AWESOME!!!

ReplyDeletehahah awesome post Mr. Kimmie! Now I'm wondering what kind of face my bf would have if he did a guest post on my blog...something to ponder.

OMG, can we have more guest posts from the hubby? He seems super cool - the Star Wars [?!] head sort of says it all. Does he dress himself Kim? Are you sure you don't dress him?! He looks super pulled together!
