I'm back!

[Summer 30 for 30: Outfit 14]
White T-shirt: Old Navy
Cardigan: Halogen via Nordstrom Rack
Jeans: Old Navy
Wedges: Target
Headband: J.Crew outlet

I got back from Boston on Wednesday, and while I loved hanging out with family, relaxing, and having no sales tax on clothes (and no budget), I'm so glad to be back in Seattle where it's not unbearably hot and humid. I also love my own bed (we were sleeping on two twin sized mattresses on the floor and I kept falling in the crack), good water pressure, having my own space, and my laptop.

I had planned on taking outfit pictures while on vacation, but most of the time I was just too lazy to bother dressing nice or doing my hair. Plus, it was too hot to accessorize or layer and I spent most of the time lounging around the house in my workout shorts and a ratty t-shirt. It was all family after all... no need to impress.

Looking through the pictures, there's a couple that prove I stayed true to my 30 for 30 (I had no other choice, that's all I packed), so I'm going to knock outfits #10, 11, 12 and 13 off, even though they don't have their own posts.

In case you couldn't tell in the bottom right photo, I'm dancing against a green screen in the Arthur & Friends exhibit in the Boston Children's Museum. I WAS ON THE TV.

We went shopping a bunch, and I didn't really buy anything the first week and a half... BUT THEN we went to the outlets. To make matters worse, the next day we were bored and wanted to get out of the house, so we went to the nearby mall and shopped even more. I bought a lot of clothes... way over my normal budget, but since we were on vacation, it was okay :)

1. J.Crew Outlet headband: $5
2. Banana Outlet striped T-shirt: $7
3. Banana Outlet pink ruffle shell: $19
4. Banana Republic linen top: $15
5. Banana Outlet tee: $12
6. Forever 21 bracelet: $9
7. J.Crew Outlet cardigan: $14
8. Gap jeans: $11
9. Banana Outlet tee: $12
10. Banana Outlet tie skirt: $16
11. Banana Republic blazer: $82

Total spent: $202

Dang!!! But I'm super happy with my purchases.. I'm still debating whether to keep the blazer or not because it's going to get dirty SO easily. On another note, I kind of like taking pictures of my purchases.. I may start incorporating that into my budget update page.

And for some even more randomness, the winner of the Essie nail polish 4-pack was Mary Elizabeth! Congrats! :) Thank you everyone for entering. Hope you guys are having a good weekend!

  1. Welcome back! Your "Mr. Kimmie" post was great!  You should definitely keep the white blazer. I am a mom too, but I manage to keep my white blazer somewhat clean and I love it!  It's gotten more wear than I ever thought.  I also like your headband too :)

  4. Welcome back!! I kept checking your blog on my blogger dashboard to see if you had returned; I'm so glad you have! The blazer is what made your shopping trip so heavy, but it looks like it's well worth it!

  6. Glad you had a fun trip!

I was thinking of you recently...we went up to Seattle for the Mariners/Braves series (will be doing an Victoria's Secret MLB gear review this weekend, featuring the Mariners tee).  Have you been to the Banana in Downtown Seattle!?  It was my first time in there...gorgeous!!  I love all the shopping...but always get so annoyed with all the druggies Downtown.  :/  It is very sad.

  7. Welcome back, Kimmie! That white BR blazer? Please keep it! It would instantly pull any outfit together. And since it's a jacket, it probably won't need constant washings such as a white skirt or white pants.

  9. Love that blazer! Reminds me of my linen one from H&M, only a wee bit classier. ;) And, no, its not practical at all. But every time I wear it I feel so effortlessly chic, and it seems to go with EVERYTHING, so I feel like I'm getting my money's worth in dry cleaning fees.

  11. Ooh, great haul! I have a white blazer and I'm still shocked at how wearable it is - way more so than say, white jeans (which I'm terrified to own!). I'm glad you had a blast in Boston!

  12. Love your post and so glad it looks like you had the best trip! Love all of your purchases, and even though the blazer is a little pricey, a light-colored blazer works forever. And, cute headband in the first pic! Reminds me of Ilene from Much Love Illy!

  13. LOVE your headband! And I totally know what you mean about not wanting to dress up or style yourself on vacation. I got home from florida without a single pic to show from my trip because I never did anything with myself worth photographing lol.

missing out on a ton of fun. Quests in Wo
    - W Cataclysm are designed to be a lot more challenging compared to the original
quests. Good idea to add fun to your computer desktop screen is
by adding Google calendar or setting Flickr image rotator as

  31. I believe everything said was very logical. But, think on this, suppose you were to write a awesome headline?
I mean, I don't want to tell you how to run your blog,
however suppose you added a title that grabbed people's attention?
I mean "I'm back!" is a little boring. You ought to look
at Yahoo's front page and watch how they create
post headlines to grab viewers interested. You might add a related video
or a pic or two to get people excited about everything've written. Just my opinion, it might bring your posts a little livelier.
