[Summer 30 for 30: Outfit 17]
Top: Forever 21 (hand-me-down)
Cardigan: Hazel (hand-me-down)
Skirt: Old Navy
Flats: Target
Husband took these pictures the other day after dinner. I know I used to be proud that I took 98% of the pictures on my blog with my self-timer, but... having husband take them is just so much easier, and I think he's getting better too. Either that, or I'm becoming a great model. TOTALLY KIDDING.
Anyway, I'm almost certain that I have a virus on my laptop, which really sucks. It's such a pain to back up everything, and the thought of installing all my programs all over again is already giving me a headache. I'm crossing my fingers that if I ignore it long enough, the virus will go away on its own. No such luck... yet.

oh man, it is soooo much easier to have somebody else take your photos. even as a serious self-timer-photo-taker, i really appreciate not having to set up my camera. and there is the added bonus of looking like you are just so awesome that your significant other just had to document your outfit!
ReplyDeleteanyway, i really like this summer cardigan look. it's the perfect combination of cuteness and grown-upness!
what a great outfit and how lucky that you get such nice hand-me-downs! and i agree i have much better luck when hubby takes photos, but i've gotten used to taking self-portraits during the week too.
ReplyDeleteand best of luck with your virus. i hate computer problems...

I love the skirt! It is so versatile! And studded (appears that way) flats...so cute!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about the virus...so frustrating that people do that. :/
I really like your top!
ReplyDeleteI'd defintely go with becoming great model!
ReplyDeleteYou are always so pretty Kimmie!

I hope everything is okay with your computer! I'm the same way though, I just want to close my eyes and pretend like it'll fix itself when those things happen.
ReplyDeleteman, i wish i had someone to take my pictures for me - it would make it soooo much easier!!! and you are a fantastic model :)
ReplyDeletei love the green on the floral. super cute!

What kind of computer do you have? Bf has Windows XP (def windows, but I'm not positive on the version) and he uses the System Restore feature to get rid of the virus. It'll go back in time to a date of your choice and reset your computer to how it was like at the time. It's worked most of the time, but not all. It may be easier than reinstalling everything... but I wonder if it's just a quick patch and over time it might not solve the real issue. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteComputer issues are such a pain!
ReplyDeleteI agree - having a photographer sometimes just makes it easier.
Great outfit today :)
eeeks, good luck with the virus, such a pain! You look great and it's great that your husband is taking your photos - will this be a regular occurance?
ReplyDeleteI love it when my husband takes my pics. I hate hate HATE the self-timer, but my husband doesn't like taking pics every single day. Soooo I have to deal. GAH.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely america's next top model material! :D
ReplyDeleteThat sounds awful! Is there any way you could take it somewhere to have the virus professionally removed?
ReplyDeleteI think having someone else take my photos would make me happy too. :)
Thanks, Dotty! And I know, I do enjoy scouting out locations and taking my own photos sometimes, but it's just so time-consuming. It's just so much quicker and easier to have them taken by someone else, especially when I'm rushed for time!
ReplyDeleteThe focus is always better when husband takes them, because when I do the self-timer, the focus is all over the place... which is really annoying! I just need to learn how to do it manually, but I'm lazy and completely camera-illiterate.
ReplyDeletethanks, Michelle!
ReplyDeleteAnd the flats are quilted with little studs in between, so yes, you're right :)
I hate that people put time and effort into creating viruses, like, what's the point other than to piss off people? and WHY? So frustrating!
Thanks, ML!! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lydia. It actually seems better today. I WAS having wonky cursor jumping, but it stopped, so maybe it did go away by itself? :)
ReplyDeleteI know! It's always annoying to have to set up the tripod and stuff, not to mention finding a suitable location without any bystanders!
ReplyDeleteOoh, maybe I can do the system restore. I'm running Vista on my machine, which always runs into problems so my co-worker suggested that I upgrade to Windows 7.. which has been on my back-burner of things that I've been meaning to do anyway. Maybe I'll try that though! Thanks for the suggestion!
ReplyDeleteI think it's mostly just while I'm doing the 30 for 30... because I want all my outfits documented. Normally if I didn't have time to take pictures (or on the weekends), I'd just forget about it for the day. Now if I don't have time, I just make my husband take them for me! :)
ReplyDeleteHaha! mine too! :)
ReplyDeleteHAHHA you're funny :)
ReplyDeleteProbably. but I need to upgrade my machine anyway so I'll just do it myself :(
ReplyDeleteI am so jealous that you wear layers in the summer! Layers with sleeves no less! You look gorgeous as usual- and very model like - seriously! Go, hubby!
ReplyDeletecomputer problems are the worst! i always hope they go away on their own too (sometimes they do!). i love that floral top, you always look so cute & put together! :) and what a pretty backdrop!
ReplyDeleteI have a problem with my laptop as well- in fact with these awful vista I haven't stopped facing problems! I suspect a spyware so constantly I am always doing the important stuff in ubuntu!heheheh! and I have been thinking of upgrading to windows 7 for 3 months but I am waiting until my dissertation is over to do it!so good luck to all with those machines!heheh!
