Olive and pink

Top: Forever 21
Jeans: Gap
Belt: Banana Republic
Shoes: Target
Necklace: Target

I first saw these jeans on Sydney, who totally rocked them and I was insanely jealous because they looked awesome on her. But then again, that girl could wear a potato sack and still look cute. NOT FAIR.

Anyway, every time she wore them, I'd want them more and more, until finally, one day, I decided to check the sale rack at Gap, and found her exact pair in my size (maybe? I dunno, because they sure look tight in the mid-section), marked down to $11. I'm not sure they look as good on me as they do on her, but hey, for $11, I'm not complaining.

...or maybe I am, because I wish they were longer. What? My entire life, I've had to hem (or staple when I was in middle school) my jeans, and I've ever never had the problem of jeans being too short, but these were more than an inch off the ground when I wore my other heels, and about half an inch off the ground with these. That would've been fine if they were normal pants, but I just don't like how it looks on flares or wide-legs. Guess I either need some shorter legs or get a pair of shorter heels. I'm guessing I'll go with the new heels :)

  1. There is something about a flare leg that I simply love. They make your legs look miles long and lean!

  4. I don't think they're too short! I think they look great on you! Kendi has been wearing her flare jeans even shorter than this, which I'm sure you've noticed. What a great find for $11!

  5. hellllllllllllloooooooooooooo legs! hehe....they don't look too short, but if you feel like they're too short that can be annoying - I've been there, done that. Regardless, you look fabosh in those jeans!

  6. I love the wide leg jeans on you. And you found them for $11?  STEAL!  I can't wait until the weather gets cooler here so I can bust out my flares and wide-legs.

  7. Have you done a hair tutorial, because I need to know how you get such glossy gorgeous ringlets! My curling iron and I are always at odds!

  8. Wow I would have never thought the combo of olive and pink would go so well together but I love it! And I remember drooling over those jeans on Sydney too! $11 is great, how tall are you, so surprised they were too short!

  9. Nice, Kimmie!  It looks like there's a lot of fabric to work with at the bottom of the jeans.  You could probably let out the hem a bit instead of having to buy new shoes.  But then again, who doesn't love new shoes?

  10. Green and Blue are one of my favorite combinations regardless of the shade. I love this look! :) I remember seeing these jeans on Sydney as well and you pull them off beautifully! I think they would drown me though.

  13. haha, I know, and I see a lot of people wear flare jeans/wide legs that don't touch the floor, but that's just one of my weird pet peeves. I cringe when I see it :(

Boot leg and straight leg are fine when they're like 0.5" to 1" off the ground (a lot more is okay for taller heels), but I think when the leg opening is really wide, it's odd to have all the fabric swishing around a few inches up. That's just me though!

  14. I'm not that tall! I'm right around 5'4" -so the jeans are way too long without heels, but I guess the platforms I've been wearing are pretty tall. :)

  22. These look cute on you!

I did a little wave at you from our car ride back to Seattle! :p  We got stuck for about thirty minutes in the pass while they were doing some blasting!  Got out and visited with some really cute dogs!  I miss Seattle already!  I had some great crab and salmon!!

  24. I think these jeans look great on you!! I have the same pair, and I'm having the same length issues. With some shoes I have, they're long enough, but with many of my heels they're too short. I wish it were easier to change the length of jeans!

  25. My first thought when I saw these photos was "omg she looks so tall!" Those jeans are magical, and I think they look amazing on you! Love the olive and pink combo too!

  28. equally as fabulous on you, my dear!!

  29. Haha, you are NOT short. But I really hate those pants that are too long for flats and too short for heels. It's the worst! Hope you won't have that problem!

  30. Aw, hope you had fun in our cloudy and overcast city :) Thanks for the wave! haha! :)

  31. ooh! jeans twins! I think that super wide flares look really good with platform heels, which unfortunately, most platforms seem to be really tall.

If only changing the length of the jeans was easy! That would be nice :)
