Stealing poses

Top: Banana Republic Factory Store
Skirt: Forever 21 (thrifted)
Belt: Forever 21
Shoes: Target
Necklace: Target

Over the weekend, I met up with some of my blog friends (Teal, Emily and Lindsay) for dinner and a quick photo session, which was hilarious as we had three cameras propped on a ledge with the self-timers going off at the same time. A girl who was passing by offered to take the pictures for us, and when we said 'no thanks,' she totally gave us the side eye. LOL

After taking our group self-timer shots, we took a few individual shots, and because I'm clueless when it comes to posing, I took a few lessons from Teal, who was posing just 5 feet away from me (my inspiration here). Then, we all did Lindsay's signature lean-against-the-wall pose which was fun but it was more difficult than it seems to "look natural." Also, I loved how Emily tied all our outfits together with her coral and turquoise combo, and we look so color coordinated. :)

Our reason for getting together was because our beloved Teal is moving back to San Fransisco in a few weeks time, and we'll be one less Seattle blogger. Sad! That's okay though, because as Teal said, we're all just one blog away! :)

Hope everyone had a good weekend!

  1. I love your teal on navy color combo!! It is gorgeous. And you guys do coordinate well seeing as how coral and turquoise together has been one of the hottest trends this summer!

  2. oooh! I just found some new bloggers to follow! Hehe! And it's so funny how you guys all coordinated - also, you all kinda look like you were photoshopped in to that last picture for some reason...or it was green screened or something.

  5. Haha, it totally does, doesn't it? It's probably attributed to the fact we don't have shadows (overcast sky in Seattle, DUH) :)

And I agree, it's so difficult to pose and look natural.  I love the 3rd photo of you!

  18. Haha, because I have to walk a lot when I'm at work sometimes! and I have low pain tolerance in my feet. :( I don't know how you do it, you're always wearing such fabulous heels, Amber Lena!

  19. I know. I need to learn to pose better, but then again, excessive posing is awkward for me, and the awkwardness shows in my face HAHA.

  23. Where are you, ZonW? I've never run into any other bloggers randomly or been recognized before. Maybe because I don't get out much, except for Target. Haha! :)
