I'm finally done with the 30 for 30. I'm not going to do a recap post because, honestly, I'm just glad to be over with it, and you guys are probably sick of hearing about it anyway. I have all my 30 outfits all over on my 30 for 30 page if you're ever inclined to go see.
A few random things about nothing:
- I didn't realize how long my hair was until I straightened it. Looking at these pictures makes me really really want to schedule a haircut, but then I like the length when I curl it, so I'll just keep it long for now... and try to avoid wearing it straight.
- My high school 10 year reunion was on Saturday night. It was fun, but it reminded me of how closed off I was. Don't get me wrong, I loved high school, but I was comfortable in my clique, and never branched out because I was too intimidated by the "cool kids." As much as I wish it were different, I guess some things never change.
- I feel like I'm starting to finally figure out my personal style and getting better at deciding what kind of clothes I want in my closet. I need to stop focusing on what the latest trends and "must-haves" are, and focus on items that work with my existing wardrobe and lifestyle. Blah blah blah. Point of the story, I returned a bunch of things over the weekend that I bought while on vacation last month, even though they were bought with "bonus vacation budget money" and I don't get to use the refunded money towards new clothes. I realized that I didn't love them enough to keep them, even if they were so-called free. I need to pat myself on the back.
- I know i just finished off this challenge, but I plan on participating in Kayla's 21 day challenge... because there's going to be prizes!!!! and also because I like Kayla :) But the good thing about Kayla's challenge is that you just upload your pictures to the Flickr Group, so even though I'll try to participate everyday, I won't necessarily have to blog each outfit. Find out more about the challenge here, and I hope you can join along!

YOU DID IT!
ReplyDeleteyay! you did it!
ReplyDeleteummm...target makes jeggings? i wish i didn't know that.
Yeah, I got them on clearance a while ago, but I don't recommend them. As much as I like the fit and the pockets/belt-loops (as opposed to the ones that look like leggings/stretchy-pants), the seams are starting to come apart due to poor construction. Or maybe my calves are too big? :(
ReplyDeleteYay for finishing your 30x30! I plan on following along with Kayla's challenge too :) It'll be lots of fun!
ReplyDeletep.s. this is such a cute outfit :) great way to finish it up!
Congrats on finishing the 30/30....I've been looking into Kayla's challenge too & it looks interesting. I might just particpate!!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on finishing the 30! I love this look you finished with too--I love the floral top paired with those jeans!
ReplyDeleteCongrats, Kimmie! That top is REALLY cute. Doesn't it feel so good to return stuff sometimes? Especially when you realize you don't love them or need them. Good job!
ReplyDeletelove this look/silhouette on you, kimmie!! it's perfectly flattering! congrats on making it to 30!
ReplyDeleteI am loving your long hair! Glad you had fun at your reunion!
ReplyDeleteThat 21 day challenge looks fun! Looking forward to your pics!
And in response to the last post...yes, Cle Elum is quite the drive! My husband's parents used to live there growing up, and still have family out there. We are there for a day, then downtown the rest of the time...I cannot wait for all the good food!!
The grass is always greener - I would LOVE to have your long hair! People pay good money for extensions to have your hair! But I know how it goes - it is always nice when it is not your own to style and deal with. I love this entire look - very summer casual and cute.
ReplyDeleteyou made it... with a big smile on your face, no less! :) love this casual cute look!
ReplyDelete(ps: hosting a jewelry giveaway on the bloggie, if interested!)

Congrats!! Love the top. Your hair is still beautiful straightened :)
ReplyDeleteyay!!! congrats on being done with the 30!
ReplyDeletei love your long hair :) i wish i could keep mine that long but every time it gets to a certain length, it gets waaaay too heavy and then i can't stand it so i have to chop it off (like i did last week).
caroline - pictures & words
Good job lady! I should be done tomorrow. :)
ReplyDeleteHOOOORAY for being done!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the 21 day challenge! I will definitely be checking that one out. ;)
You totally should!! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kelly! Kayla's challenge looks fun, can't wait to see what outfits you come up with! :)
ReplyDeleteHaha, I know, right? But I think I'm just at a place right now where I don't really care for half my closet, and I'm afraid if I start purging and throwing stuff out, I won't have any clothes left. :(
ReplyDeleteThanks, Linley!!
ReplyDeleteOh have fun!!! :) The weather here has been pretty mild, hope it's not too cold for you ;)
ReplyDeleteI know, and I also know that I'd totally regret it if I chopped it short! But it's always a big pain when my kid likes to pull my hair and "eat momma hair!" by sticking it all in his mouth and exclaiming "yummy!!!" - pretty gross actually, and he always ends up yanking out a few hairs, which is not exactly fun :(
ReplyDeleteI know! my hair used to be so heavy when it was long, but I think my hair has thinned out considerably and it's actually pretty manageable now.
ReplyDeleteYay! I don't feel so alone with you and Sorren to keep my company :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Gertrude!
ReplyDeleteDO IT!! :) Kayla says they'll be easy prompts for the clothing challenges, so that makes me feel a little less nervous about being told what to wear...
ReplyDeleteThanks, Alyson! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks!! :)
ReplyDeleteYAY I DID IT!
ReplyDeleteI love this look! And congratulations on finishing the 30x30. Also - I was the same way in high school - and now. Good for you on returning the stuff.
ReplyDeleteAnd this is when I apologize for this collection of disjointed sentences; transitions are not my forte.
Dude, I totally know what you mean about being at a place where you don't care for half your closet. I'm trying to rework mine and definitely feeling that. Too bad we can't shop each other's unwanted halves and swap.
ReplyDeleteAhh, wouldn't that be perfect?! I'd love to shop in your closet, though you probably wouldn't care for half the things I'm going to be throwing out. Too bad we live so far! :(
ReplyDeletecongrats on finishing! and i'm always shocked as to how long my hair is when i don't straighten it for a few weeks!
ReplyDeleteNice hosting! It’s my first time to read like this article.bfxd
