OH HAI :) I haven't forgotten about you guys. I just got a little disconnected from blogging... life just gets in the way I guess. Now that the weather is getting cold and it's dark by the time I get off work, I haven't taken outfit pictures in over a month. Yep, these pictures were from mid-September when I could go bare-legged. Not so much anymore!
So... I hate ironing (duh. who in the world would like it?) and I ended up buying a garment steamer off Amazon after reading a few reviews, and yeah... doesn't look like it worked on the skirt too well. Maybe I just don't have very good clothes-steaming skills. I'm kind of embarrassed to admit I didn't realize how bad it was until I saw the pictures. OH WELL TOO LATE NOW.
I hope this isn't the last post for awhile, but I really have nothing else lined up. I still bring my camera to work with me everyday, but then I look out the window and go, "ugh, not today. Maybe I'll take pictures tomorrow..." and then it always turns out to be an unending cycle of excuses. You never know though, tomorrow could be the lucky day! I'll keep my fingers crossed.

First comment to scream HAI KIMMIE MISS YOU!!! And I understand, really I do. About the ironing, but yeah, the whole taking pictures of yourself thing, too. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, MF! Blogging would be so much easier if I had a photographer following me around everywhere. :)
ReplyDeleteDAMNIT! I wanted to be first!
ReplyDeleteIron and hand washing are the worst.
You know what? I kind of enjoy ironing once I get a good rhythm. The actual thought of needing to iron one item is not appetizing, but on a slow night of reality TV... I try to get a pile of clothes done.
ReplyDeleteI'm not an iron-er either. I'm a throw it in the dryer with a wet towel, with varying degrees of success. I was just thinking about you today - funny that when I checked there was a new post!
ReplyDeleteI was wondering where you went!! I'm glad to hear things are ok :) I COMPLETELY understand the whole dilemma with the lack of sunshine after a day at work. OH MY GOSH, I wake up at 7 to snap quick photos before running for a bus these days. It's the only time to catch a glimmer of natural lighting.
ReplyDeletep.s. lets go for Flat Iron Waffles some day soon!!
I don't like ironing either.
ReplyDeleteLove the skirt!!!

Nice hand-me-down! :) My closet is in dire need of something polka-dotted.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to see you're back...kind of.
ReplyDeleteI am in the same boat as you.
Yes, maybe tomorrow.
Yay, Kimmie is BACK! So glad to see your lovely face with a super cute outfit! I HATE ironing, so I never buy clothes that need to be ironed. Problem solved, right? :)
ReplyDeleteWelcome back! Hopefully we'll see you soon, if not, no worries. Sometimes a break is much needed to get recharged! Blogging should be fun, not a chore. I love the polka dots with your berry colored skirt. It's fun and a little flirty. Your hair looks great, too.
ReplyDeleteI think I may be one of few people who like to iron. It's perhaps like knitting for some people. Once you get in a rhythm, there's little thought involved. I'm with A (from suns to moons) that TV shows or movies help, too.
yay, Kimmie's back!! i've missed your outfits and your funny posts! i love all the ruffles in this outfit and the polka-dots are super fun! i hope you have time to post more. :)
ReplyDeletecute & little
Haha, I need my hands to stuff snacks into my face when I'm watching TV. :) But yeah, we keep the ironing board in the TV room, because there's no other way I'm going to do it!
ReplyDeleteUgh. hand-washing is THE WORST. I just throw everything into mesh bags and do the delicate cycle on the machine... which doesn't always turn out too well. :(
ReplyDeleteOh I've heard of that trick but have never attempted it. I'll have to try it out next time! :)
ReplyDeleteI should start taking morning pictures, too.. but I'm always running way too late :( I had planned on taking a short break at work today to get out and take pictures, but my boss put an important task on my desk at 4pm which will probably take at least 2 hours. UGHHHHH. (and here I am replying to comments instead of working on it...)
ReplyDeleteWhat's your schedule like???
I have those shoes! You know what? I didn't even notice that your skirt was a little wrinkled until you pointed it out, hee hee.
ReplyDeleteLoving the top!!!

you know, when i dont have time to iron, instead of a wet towel, i spray the garment with water, or even febreeze type stuff if its been on the floor,(of course the piece i want to wear is always on the floor on the floor, lol!) until it is just a bit damp, THEN toss it in the dryer, works quickly, and like a charm!!
