Oh look! I'm back! :) Kind of...
1) I got a hair cut today... cut off 6 inches! It's A LOT shorter than I had planned, but when I got there, I was just like, "CUT IT ALL OFF." I was kind of sick of my long hair anyway.
2) See that house in the background? There was a guy who happened to look out the window while I was taking my photos. I ran away as fast as I could.
3) I took a two-week vacation to stay home (a staycation?) and it's been so nice taking 3 hour naps everyday and having no agenda. I'm not looking forward to going back to work on Monday where I'll have to wear "normal" clothes again. Uggs have been my best friend the last few days.
4) I'm growing a fetus in my belly, and have been for the last 3 months which explains my never-ending sickness, my aversion to constricting clothes, and one reason for my haircut (hated getting puke all over the ends of my hair, TMI?) But yeah, suuuuper excited about the baby! Not very excited about being pregnant. If you know me, you'd know that I HATED it last time around and this time it's not much different. New baby is due in mid-May, two days before P's third birthday. Can't wait!
5) Due to number 4 above, I'm taking an extended hiatus from blogging. I don't really care about dressing "stylish" during the next 6 months so I have no intention of taking outfit pictures. My maternity outfits are nothing you'd want to see, and I'll probably be avoiding the camera like the plague (I hate being big and bloated. So vain, okay?) Comfort will be key, and I even boxed up all my heels. Last time around, I face-planted on the sidewalk WHILE WEARING FLAT SNEAKERS and had to endure a gigantic belly AND a sprained wrist during the last months of pregnancy. Not very attractive OR safe. Plus, I probably won't have time after the baby comes to take outfit pictures (two kids and working? I don't has the time) and since that's kind of the whole premise of this blog, I won't have anything to post about for awhile.
I'll still be around on twitter and may put up a few posts here and there, but for the most part, this blog won't be consistently updated anymore.
...and here I was, two weeks away from my first blog anniversary. I didn't even make it. So much fail on my part. SORRY GUYS. Still love you. :)

Congratulations on the baby! Good reason as any to take a break ;)

ReplyDeleteOh, a baby, how exciting! I'm sorry you have to deal with being pregnant again, though - I know how miserable you were before. I do hope you'll keep us in the loop, in spite of your delicate condition, I miss you around these parts!
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy for you and your fam, Kimmie!!! Now you won't feel left out compared to the other moms who had babies the same age as P, haha. Congrats on baby #2! I'm sure P will make a wonderful older brother. Stay sane, stay warm, and get some sleep when you can ;) We're going to miss you, but please do stay in touch <3
ReplyDeleteAAAH! Congrats on the baby! How exciting :)
ReplyDeleteAnd your hair looks fab, btw.
OMG Congratulations!!! I'm soooo sorry I missed this - I feel so dumb for emailing you and not saying anything! I'm so super excited for you!
ReplyDeleteAnd I LOL'd when you said you ran when that guy looked out the window - I would totally do the same thing!
Hehe. I did not enjoy being pregnant either. Which horrifies people. I can love the result without loving the process.
ReplyDeleteAnyhoo, congratulations! And you'll be missed but it is tough keeping it up when you have so much else going on.
Jenn
Congratulations! Very exciting. I'll definitely miss your posts, but totally understand and hopefully keep up on Twitter.

OMGGGGGGG CONGRATULATIONS, KIMMIE!!! I'm gonna miss your posts. Well, I already have been missing your posts. But, I hope your pregnancy goes well! I guess I'll just have to catch ya on Twitter, then. Congrats, again!!
ReplyDeletecongrats on the fetus!
ReplyDeletecongratulations!!! you look amazing!
ReplyDeletewill you ever come back to blogging? i loved your blog so!
omg congrats! :) i completely understand not wanting to style blog in your situation. (hell, i stopped because i don't like summer clothes. *then* i got pregnant and i really didn't want to be styleblogging then.)
ReplyDeleteyour hair looks great, and i hope you feel better soon! i feel so lucky that my first pregnancy was so easy – and hope the second one (whenever that happens) will be as well. i am NOT good when i am feeling bad.
Kimmie, Congratulations!!! yay! that is so great! and I am sure your maternity outfits are super cute! I love the new hair, and I'll definitely still see you on twitter!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kileen! and haha, you are wrong. The last three months have been far from stylish ;)
ReplyDeleteYay for May babies! :) and thanks for the well-wishes :)
ReplyDeleteHaha! I had McDonald's two days in a row because I was looking for the pumpkin pies (the one by our house didn't have them, so I got a McRib instead.. big mistake) and I was kind of let down. Have you had the pumpkin pies yet? They're just okay. Nothing too special. Still waiting to go back to Asia and get the Taro pies. YUMMMMM. :)
ReplyDeleteAw, thanks, Justine!
ReplyDeleteHAH. A walker. Now that would be hilarious. Though, I'd still have to walk by myself which I do not like. I think a motorized wheelchair would be better.
ReplyDeleteThanks Elaine! And aren't you Mormons supposed to be popping out babies like super soon too? LOL j/k :)
ReplyDeleteOf course I'll be around on twitter. And drooling over your food pins on Pinterest.
Haha, I agree. Last time around I had morning sickness the entire nine months and then the heartburn and feeling of suffocation from the gigantic belly during the last few. WAS NOT FUN. But after reading about lots of infertility stories, I'm just trying to appreciate the gift of life and how lucky I am to even be able to have a baby when I want one. :)
ReplyDelete"A wonderful older brother" as in "a bossy and controlling brother who will beat up his little sibling"? haha :)
ReplyDeleteI'll still be around! just no outfit photos from me :)
Haha, no worries!! I guess this explains my super-slowness because I'm too busy taking naps or going to bed at 9pm :)
ReplyDeleteYeah, but I guess in the long run, it's only 9 months of physical annoyance in exchange for a brand new human being. Totally worth it in the end! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm sad I just found your blog and you won't be posting as often but come back after baby and keep us updated. You inspired me to commit to the cognac Melissa Frye Boots (ordered them on Monday!) Thanks for styling them so well. :)

CONGRATS!! Sad that I won't see your cuteness everyday, but excited about your new addition.
ReplyDeleteCongrats! I totally love your honesty about your pregnancy experience...I'm terrified of getting pregs (not that we're trying, but just in general) and most of my friends keep gushing about how great it was. I don't believe them.
ReplyDeleteHope this one goes better than the last one!
I thought I saw a little bump in that last picture. So excited for you! Not excited you aren't blogging or that I forgot to email you back. We'll have to get together soon!

ReplyDeleteWow, congrats on the upcoming baby! Are you going to let us know when you find out the sex or are you going to make us wait until the very end? I hope you have an "easy" pregnancy if that makes any sense....
ReplyDeletei liked how you casually just dropped the big news into the middle of your bullet points :) Congrats K! I can't wait to meet him/her :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I'll miss your posts but I'm happy for you. And who needs the pressure of having to be a perfectly put together cute pregnant lady for the interwebs?
ReplyDeleteI always run too when I see someone looking at me, haha ^^ I adore your boots! x
ReplyDeleteSpeaking as someone who is the oldest sibling, P will enjoy being the "wonderful" older one, hahaha
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!! Take it easy, but we sure will miss you :) Love the hair!!
ReplyDeleteAw, what a bummer- I just found your lovely blog :( Congrats on the baby though-- that's so exciting!!
