I really liked my outfit this morning (despite the navy skirt + black tights, I know!) and I even curled my hair for the first time since cutting it more than two weeks ago. This warranted outfit pictures, because if you've seen me at all IRL, you know that I have not put this much effort into my appearance for awhile and who knows when the next time will be. Plus, I got out of the house half an hour earlier than usual, so I had a few extra minutes to stop by the park and snap some photos. Who cares about my so-called blogging hiatus, right?
I haven't been buying very much clothes recently, first because I am anticipating a changing body and don't really want to buy stuff unless I have to, and second, because I only have around $100 left in my annual clothing budget, so I'm trying to save it so I can make it to the after-Christmas sales (way better than Black Friday, because the focus isn't on gift-giving, it's on ME). I did, however, go shopping with my sister last weekend and she bought me a few new things for my birthday, this new top included. I like that it's stretchy and the ruffles in front camouflages my bump. Not that I'm trying to hide it or pretend that I'm not pregnant, but right now it just looks more like I ate too many slices of pumpkin pie and Trader Joe's candy cane cookies (even though that may be true). I'll have more than enough time to "embrace the bump" in the coming months when I can't hide it anymore, and it becomes more obvious that I'm expecting a non-food baby.
So excited for Thanksgiving and all the good food to be consumed next week. My appetite is ready.
ps. Anyone ever have those gummy sugar plum candies that only come out during the holidays? YUM.
