Changes

Last week, we welcomed baby L to the family! She arrived a few days past her due date so I was a little glad I had an extra couple of days to finish preparations. We were able to celebrate Mother's Day and P's birthday, I finished sewing the curtains and crib skirt, and we spent way too much money on multiple trips to Target.

The transition hasn't been too bad (mostly because newborns just sleep, eat and poo) but it's still tiring, especially coupled with trying to keep a three-year old occupied and entertained. I really have no idea how moms with multiple kids do it. So far P has been loving his new sister, always wanting to hold her (or wake her up), climbing into her crib to give her a kiss, and helping out with small tasks like retrieving diapers, binkys and bottles. I'm loving our little family sooo much.

I previously mentioned that I am kind of over the whole style blogging thing (though I still LOVE to read style blogs, I just can't muster up enough energy to take outfit pictures anymore), so I started a new blog. Turns out that drawing pictures on the computer is a lot of work and just way too time consuming, so that venture has kind of fallen by the wayside. I do miss blogging, or at least having an outlet to write whatever is on my mind and connecting with you guys, so I think I'm going to turn Blue Paper Lanterns to just a personal/lifestyle blog... and maybe style once in awhile. I do hope you guys will still stick around!

  1. BABY! How exciting! I "miss" you, so if you blog about what P eats for lunch every day I'd read that. So you should keep writing.

  2. Yay for baby!! I think you should write whatever you want on your blog. Like you  I think, sometimes just writing about one thing can be somewhat mundane, while just having a blog about life can have so many subjects. Whew!

  13. Congratulations on your baby girl! She is gorgeous and I love how P is obviously pumped to be a big brother. I am also VERY excited that you've decided to turn Blue Paper Lanterns into a personal / lifestyle blog - I think it's perfect! My friend Emily has one [lovely infelicity] and I love creeping on her life and I can't wait to start on yours... in a totally non-creepy way, of course
