- Coral/pink bib necklace (eBay) - $4
- Rockstar skinny jeans in Heliotrope (Old Navy) - $19 with 20% off coupon + tax = $16.50
- Rockstar skinny jeans in Monaco Plum (Old Navy) - $19 with 20% off coupon + tax = 16.50
I wasn't looking to spend too much money this month, but late night eBay browsing and bidding resulted in a necklace that I'm somewhat partial towards. Oh well, I'll figure out a way to incorporate it into my outfits sooner or later.
Then the $19 sale on Rockstar jeans at Old Navy and a 20% off coupon resulted in me buying not one, but two pairs of pants I did not need.
Looking forward to the next three months, I really don't have a "must have" list of things I need, so I'll just try to shop sparingly and avoid impulse buys. Less than $100 left to last me for the remainder of the year!
Update: Oops, I forgot to include the socks I bought at Target last week. They were marked down to 70% off so I picked up 3 three-packs of socks and a pair of polka-dot tights for a total of $9, so I spent a total of $46 this month.
BUT.. I also forgot to include my $7 Old Navy return of defective clothes, so the September total should be $39.

I was in the same situation as you for the Old Navy Rockstar jeans. lol! I went in with a $10 Banana Republic Rewards and came out with two pairs of the Rockstar jeans since they were $19 each. Argh... Didn't really need them but they fitted lovely and after seeing Tiffany from I Am Style-ish wearing them.. I was like yes, I do want them! lol -_-

I know! Tiffany has such good taste in clothes so when she was saying how much she liked hers, I knew I wanted to try them out :) What colors did you get??
ReplyDeleteHaha I got the Monaco Plum too! And Creme Caramel. :)
ReplyDeleteI was about to get the creme caramel too! I really like the color, but I had to narrow down my selection to two :)
ReplyDeleteDang, less than $100? That'd be really tough for me but I'm sure you can pull it off just fine.
ReplyDeleteThe pants look nice but I don't dig the color too much just cuz I don't know how I can match plum pants with anything in my closet. I'm excited to see them on you!
Yeah, I think I should be ok for the rest of the year. I still have my birthday and christmas coming up, so if there's something I really want, I can just get my husband to buy it for me :)
ReplyDeleteI'm not 100% decided on the plum pants yet, because yeah, the color is going to be hard to match. We'll see!
You've done so great so far! Great colors for those jeans. I want me some colored denim this fall!
ReplyDeleteDid you check out old navy?? I think their $19 rock star jeans promo is coming to an end soon...
ReplyDeleteDo you know if the rockstar are significantly slimmer than the "diva" ones? Because I have the diva ones, love them, and don't think I could go "skinnier" than that. Rock star is the slimmest version they have. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI don't know! I thought they were all different fits in terms of waistband/hips, like the sweetheart is a more curvy fit, rock star is low rise, etc., since they do have rockstar flare jeans too. Not sure about the diva fit!
ReplyDeleteHmm...the Diva's are about as low-rise as I want to get. But if I come across an ON, I might give the Rock Stars a try :)
ReplyDeleteWow, I'm really impressed with your ability to scale back on your budget so much! Avoiding impulse buys really is key isn't it? And getting great deals too - nice work on these! :) Found you via Franishh's budgeting bloggers linkup!
ReplyDeleteI popped over from Frannish and the budget linkup - loving your blog! So nice to meet you and can't wait to follow along.
