Belting

While I don't want to ignore the tragedies of last Friday here on the blog, I feel that I'm not eloquent enough to even begin to address it. My thoughts have been echoed by others across the web, and my heart goes out to the families impacted by this thoughtless act of violence.

Chambray shirt: Gap
Cardigan: Gap Outlet
Jeans: J Brand
Oxfords, belt: Target

Having a non-stretchy belt around my mid-section makes me realize how bad my posture is when I'm sitting down. It made slouching very uncomfortable. And I'll admit I had to loosen it a few notches after lunch time.

Please don't mind my uneven sleeves, I'm not a professional sleeve roller.

  1. I know what you mean, I wanted to address something on my blog today too but couldn't expressed exactly how I felt. It's a sad tragedy.

Btw - cut outfit Kimmie! I love your oxfords, they're super cute. I don't know if I can ever pull them off like you. I am not a professional sleeve roller either, so there will be no judging. ;)

  2. I just couldn't address it either. Everything I typed out seemed so . . . inadequate.

I have terrible posture when sitting as well. Except my waist is so high that my belt starts disappearing uncomfortably into my bust. I can't believe I just admitted that.

  3. Cute outfit! My belts and pencil skirts are always uncomfortably tight after lunch too - and I've never had a baby so I have no excuse! :)

  4. You took the words out of my mouth! Sometimes is can be difficult to address something as sensitive as this tragedy. However, I like your outfit with the oxford shoes! =]

  8. Love this outfit, Kimmie! I am totally going to steal it. :)
I just cant put my feelings on this tragedy into words. I am participating in the blogger day of silence tomorrow. Life goes on, but taking some time to acknowledge and respect the loss of others seems like a good idea. :) That and hugging my own precious little guy a lot more in the coming days.
