Blue and yellow always remind me of our rival high school's colors, so I tend not to wear them together, but now I'm thinking I kind of like this combination... though not the grey tights + grey tank combo, I'll change that next time.
I hope everyone had a good holiday and new years! Judging from my Instagram feed, it looked like everyone had a nice long break from work. I technically only got three days off (Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Day) but since I'm off every Wednesday (I only work 4 days a week), and the other days in the office were SO slow, it felt like a vacation anyway.
Doesn't look a "school spirit" at all :P. Love the necklace with the flags, I'll call them, for lack of a more fashionable word :). What's wrong with the grey shirt and tights? And you get every Wed off b/c you work 40 hrs on 4 days? Nice. Happy 2013!

Yes, they are the fleece lined tights! How cold does it get in Phoenix? It's not like these are super warm/insulating, they're just more cozy and warm compared to normal tights.

Blue and Yellow is one of my favorite color combos. Ever. Of all time. It's just a no brainer! You pull it off fabulously! I love it!

Before ~2 weeks ago, I didn't own any yellow. I always felt it clashed with my hair (it probably still does but whatever). I've been looking for different ways to wear my mustard cardigan so I think I'm going to have to recreate this. NO WORRIES, I will credit ;)

I totally love this combo! Especially because the blue is almost a slate grey and yellow and grey are my FAVOURITE! Plus, the way your tights match your shirt made me a little too excited. Something about finding that perfect match and balance always gets me :)
ReplyDeleteHaving Wednesdays off is amaaaazing. Especially for times like Thanksgiving when I get almost a whole week off. It's also nice to run errands and go to Costco when it's not super packed. :)
ReplyDeleteI think mustard yellow is a universally flattering color. Neon yellow or pale pastel yellow, on the other hand, is not. Yours looks good on you!
ReplyDeleteYes! fleece lined tights. I get mine at Nordstrom Rack (they're the Legale brand and about $7 a pair and they have black, grey and brown) They are awesome! I believe they sell them online at a lot of places too but I always get mine at the Rack.
ReplyDeletehaha! There's balance, and there's.... looking like I'm wearing a grey bodysuit underneath my clothes. I think it was the combination of both things being more fitted to the body. I think I'd like it better if it was a loose grey t-shirt or something that. :)
