Leather jacket: Michael by Michael Kors
Sweater: Forever 21
Pants: Old Navy Rockstar
Boots: DV by Dolce Vita 'Pax'
I was on the hunt for a cute motorcycle jacket last year, and I really didn't like any of the faux leather versions I came across. They were either too trendy, too expensive (for being pleather), or too plastic-y feeling, so I decided to just go ahead and purchase a real leather one. Even then, the perfect moto jacket was so hard to find! I finally found this one at Nordstrom Rack but spent forever debating whether it was "the one" and held off for a few months before even getting around to wearing it. I didn't find anything else that I liked though, so even though I don't quite love the "vintage" leather (I would have preferred a smoother leather like Jessica from What I Wore's jacket), it's good enough for me. I just need to force myself to stop looking online to see if I can find "the one" because it's only going to fill me with regrets.
And OK, I feel like I'm not "edgy" or "cool" enough to be wearing a leather jacket, and totally felt like a poser when wearing it. I just need to get over myself, because anyone can wear a leather jacket, right? That's what I keep telling myself.
PS. I purchased the jacket as my anniversary/birthday gift from my husband, which is why it's not on my budget from last year. :)
